All schools are encouraged to become an ABYC Foundation Affiliated School and you can do that today! There are MANY benefits to joining this network with other marine technical educators as you will see below. Schools may be an Affiliated School for years or use this status toward Accreditation in the future.
MTAP (Marine Trades Accreditation Program) Schools go a step further—these programs have met rigorous accreditation criteria, demonstrating a higher level of institutional commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality training. Not all Affiliated Schools are MTAP-accredited.
