Recertification Policies

Requirements

To successfully complete the recertification process, participants must:

  • Submit a completed designation application online
  • View the required content review webinar(s)
  • Successfully complete the recertification exam

All requirements must be fulfilled within the designated recertification period.

Examination Policy

Exam details, including access instructions and the completion deadline, will be provided by email upon completing prior application and CEU requirements.

Participants are expected to complete the exam by the assigned deadline. Failure to do so will require payment of a $25 exam extension fee, which will reset the deadline and restore exam access.

Certification Status

If the recertification exam is not completed and passed by the expiration date, the certification will lapse. Certification will not be reinstated until the recertification exam has been successfully completed.

Cancellation Policy

  • Before Access to Materials: Cancellations requested prior to accessing any recertification materials or receiving exam details are eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee.
  • After Access to Materials: Once webinar content has been accessed or exam details have been issued, cancellations are not eligible for a refund.

Refund Policy

All approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment. No refunds will be granted for failure to complete the recertification requirements, including failure to take or pass the exam.

Online Live Course Policies

Attendance & Participation

Live attendance is optional. Participants may choose to complete the course by viewing session recordings. Course recordings will remain accessible for sixty (60) days following the course conclusion.

Participants who neither attend live sessions nor access course materials during the access period will be classified as no-shows. No-shows are not eligible for a refund.

Failure to complete all course sessions or to sit for the exam constitutes incomplete participation and does not qualify for a refund.

Access to Course Materials

Course recordings are available for a period of sixty (60) days only. Continued access beyond this period requires full re-enrollment at the current course fee.

The provided study guide is intended solely to support preparation for the current version of the exam. If a participant delays taking the exam and returns at a later date (e.g., one year or more), and the exam has been updated, the participant will be required to purchase the current version of the study guide. Compatibility between outdated materials and updated assessments is not guaranteed.

Examination Policy

Participants are expected to complete the exam by the assigned deadline. Failure to do so will require payment of a $25 exam extension fee, which will reactivate the exam and issue a new deadline.

If a participant does not pass the exam, retesting is permitted for an additional fee of $179 per attempt.

Cancellation Policy

  • Before Course Start: Cancellations made prior to the course start date are subject to a $150 cancellation fee.
  • After Course Start (During Course): Candidates who request to cancel while the course is still in session may be eligible for a refund in accordance with the terms below:
    • No Sessions Viewed: If no course sessions have been accessed or viewed, the participant is eligible for a partial refund. The refund will be calculated as the total amount paid minus $235, which includes $85 study guide and a $150 cancellation fee.
    • Sessions Accessed: If any course sessions have been accessed or viewed, the course is considered in progress. No course refund will be issued; however, if the certification exam has not been taken, a $295 refund will be provided for the unused exam fee.
  • After Course End: Cancellation requests submitted after the course has ended are not eligible for a refund.

Refund Policy

All refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.
In lieu of a refund, participants may elect to receive a credit on their account for the remaining balance, valid for use strictly toward another course registration within two years of the original course start date.
