|The Marine League of Schools|
To address the marine industry's need for post secondary technical education, the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) developed the The Marine League of Schools. ABYC assists these schools in the areas of curriculum development and instructor training/certification to help ensure that the training provided is relevant and up-to-date. Member schools are nationwide and held to a higher standard due to their affiliation with ABYC. ABYC can confidently refer the future leaders of our industry to any member school
How Do Aspiring Marine Technicians Benefit?
Students get introduced early on to the source of marine industry standards that get applied to the majority of new boat builds here in North America as well as the service and repair side of the industry. Knowledge like this will give these students a jump-start in their careers as marine industry professionals and help them early on to rise above their peers due to their advanced level knowledge.
How Can My School Become a Member?
ABYC has worked to select schools from around the US to help keep training availability as close to home as possible. We are constantly in the hunt for new locations that meet our requirements, but also provide a geographic zone of protection for our member schools.
