Help equip marine technical programs across the country with textbooks and help introduce students to a rewarding career in the marine industry. ABYC has created the only text book available for a basic high school marine curriculum!
"Fundamentals of Marine Service Technology" is written by Ed Sherman, ABYC Vice President and Education Director. This marine tech beginner book was written with the student in mind and explores safety practices, electrical systems, engine drive systems, electronics, and plumbing. This easy to read, comprehensive textbook, the book contains QR codes allowing the reader to access videos which demonstrate the correct procedures to change the oil, operate a digital multimeter or DVOM, perform wire-stripping and terminal applications, etc.
Your donation will help ABYC get this essential marine textbook in the hands of schools around the country and teach aspiring marine professionals how to perform quality service in the industry.
"ABYC is and has always been an essential and fundamental component of the Marine Systems Technology CTE program at Urban Assembly New York Harbor School. Our entire curriculum is based on the Marine Trades curriculum, the Marine Service assessment and other educational materials prepared by ABYC"
