ABYC Hosting Regional Marine Training Seminars

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) is hosting marine training seminars around the country, open to all levels of experience. Attendees will receive industry training from ABYC technical staff, network with other local professionals and earn four Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
“We started these regional seminars last year and due to the excellent reviews we have now included it as part of our long term education strategy,” said Kevin Scullen, membership director of ABYC. “Members and nonmembers are getting an opportunity to learn about ABYC standards in real world scenarios while interacting with other professionals who have similar project and business challenges.”
Agenda topics include circuit protection and battery management; new products/applications by Blue Sea Systems and Mastervolt; “Standards Gone Wild” marine electrical training; and marketing your marine business.
Registration is $59.00 for ABYC members and $79.00 for nonmembers, dinner included.

ABYC is also hosting a Boat Builders Symposium in Morehead City, North Carolina, April 6, 7 a.m. – noon. ABYC vice president Craig Scholten will lead attendees through discussions about building and exporting boats, quality assurance, United States Coast Guard regulations and standardized warning labels. Registration for this special boat builder event is $79.00 for ABYC members and $99.00 for nonmembers, breakfast included.
