In response to requests from students and employers, ABYC has created a pathway to certification that is quicker and more affordable! Unlike the customary ABYC education programing which consisted of a 4 day class and a test, the Fast Trac is an option where most of the study work is done independently. Students come together for just one day for review and testing. While classroom time is limited to 1 day, April 7, 2016 students will have access to the instructor via email during the study period preceding the review/test day. There will also be two Webinars presented to the students by the instructor,
THE SOONER YOU REGISTER, THE MORE TIME YOU HAVE TO STUDY and prepare for the review and exam. You will receive a study guide and have access to your instructor via email throughout your study period for questions. The study guide and instructor's contact information and Webinar login information will be sent to you upon paid registration.

Designed for the experienced marine diesel engine technician and is intended to supplement factory sponsored engine specific courses and certifications with an industry recognized generic certification of knowledge for troubleshooting and engine and drive installations. Former experience is not required. This course will cover diesel engines cooling systems, electrical systems, fuel systems, ventilation systems, exhaust systems, control systems, fuel injection, and drive systems. Additionally, extensive coverage of applicable ABYC Standards that apply to diesel engine installations will be provided.

ABYC reserves the right to cancel classes based on enrollment and/or instructor availability no later than two weeks prior to the class scheduled start date. Onsite reserved classes scheduled by association, corporate or government entities will incur a 10% of contracted rate cancellation fee for any classes cancelled after initial scheduling is established. Please take this into consideration when making any travel or accommodation arrangements. ABYC will not provide any reimbursements for travel expenses.
